RSS403 - White Buffalo - We found this white buffalo entirely by accident. We had gone on a camping trip and were driving around looking at the sights and looked down from the state highway just off of I-35 at exit 51 in Oklahoma and saw this fine fellow down standing in a pasture with a small herd of brown buffalo cows. We first saw him in the early summer of 2003. We went back in the spring of 2004 hoping to see some calves but there were none yet. We plan a trip down there later this spring (2005) hoping to see calves from him this year.

I regret to inform you that this buffalo seems to no longer be at the described location. I went down there in July to get pics and see if he had any offspring yet and he is no longer there. I do not know if these people still own him and just moved him or if he has been sold or died. There was no one there to ask. All I know is that he was no longer in the pasture and neither were any of the other buffalo.
