STS405 - Lighthouse01 - This unusual lighthouse is down south at Morgan City Louisiana. The photo this pattern is from was taken by R.L. Bullock in June of 2005. Most lighthouses are built solid on the bottom to withstand high, strong waves. This lighthouse, on the other hand, was built open on the bottom so the waves and currents can wash right through.
