ATL102 - Red Winged Blackbird - Last summer (2004) we were down at the lake camping and
fishing. The cattails at the edge of the water had numerous families of these red-winged
black birds nesting there, with the males perched high in the tops of the cattails
looking out over the landscape, guarding their mates and families. Trying to find one
that held still long enough for a good clear shot was a challenge, if the bird held still
on the cattail, the wind was blowing the cattail back and forth.
